SPFX Home School Learner Program

Full Term ( 8 weeks )

Give your homeschool learner the chance to explore the world of movie magic with our hands-on Special Effects (SPFX) Makeup Workshops. Designed for ages 10 and up, our studio sessions run in small groups so every child receives personal guidance and support. We utilise diverse teaching methods, including direct instruction, guided discovery and experiential learning, to cater to different learning styles and help every student thrive.

Watch their imagination come alive as they learn beginner-friendly and age appropriate special effects techniques in a fun and engaging environment. All content is drawn from nationally recognised courses and delivered by qualified artists to provide an authentic learning experience that supports your homeschool learning goals. Each session encourages creative thinking while building practical skills and confidence in a supportive studio setting.

Term Block (8 Week SPFX Course)

Term 3

Starting July 24th + Mid Term Break: Aug 18th – 22nd

Our 8 week SPFX Homeschool Course builds on the core skills taught in the 4-week program and invites students to take their creativity further. Across the program, students will design their own unique character and bring it to life through hands-on special effects techniques. They’ll plan their design, sculpt and create a custom prosthetic and apply it as part of their final look. Each one-hour session blends live demonstrations with practical learning in a fun, supportive studio environment. The course is designed to meet homeschooling art requirements while inspiring students to think creatively, build confidence and develop new artistic skills they can be proud of.
